Our Process

Five steps to getting started

Review these steps so you know exactly what to expect when beginning services with us.

Referral from a medical provider

Consult with your child's pediatrician or healthcare provider to learn more about ABA therapy. They can help determine whether ABA is an appropriate fit for your child and, if required by your insurance, provide a referral or prescription.

Diagnosis for ABA therapy

A formal Autism diagnosis from a licensed professional is typically required by insurance providers to cover ABA therapy services. If you already have a diagnosis and prescription, simply send it our way.

Benefits check

Once we receive your information, we will verify your child's insurance benefits for ABA therapy and review their diagnostic report to determine eligibility for our services. For families without insurance coverage, private pay rates are available — please contact us for more information.

Meet with us!

After all required documentation has been collected and insurance authorization has been obtained, one of our BCBAs will meet with your family to conduct a comprehensive evaluation. During this process, our BCBA will speak with you, observe your child, and gather the information needed to develop a fully individualized treatment plan built around your child's strengths, needs, and your family's goals.

A brighter future starts today!

Once insurance authorization to begin services has been received, we will reach out to schedule your child's start date. Your child will work directly with our team of skilled Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), under the ongoing supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), to receive consistent, high-quality therapy tailored to their individualized treatment plan.

While ABA therapy is widely recognized for its work with Autism Spectrum Disorder, its applications reach much further. Research supports its effectiveness across a broad range of needs, including developmental delays, behavioral challenges, and cognitive difficulties. At A Brighter Approach Behavioral Health, we believe that every individual deserves access to quality care — not just those with a specific diagnosis. Contact us today to find out how we can support your family.
